 Þ  The Lord has been defined, and affiliated, with natures that He is not.  Before Christ the Savior came, Israel and the nations that opposed Israel were hounded by severe punishments and curses.
–These, however, were not of the Lord.

→  Israel, the Church, and other powers have attempted to use the Lord as a tool of warfare and earthly prosperity.
–These, also, are not of the Lord.

Be rescued from Death's influence

Paul the Apostle writes that there are ‘spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavens’ that we must struggle against (Ephesians 6: 12).  How did they get there and why do they have power over us?

≡ We put them there and gave them power.  The Lord sent Moses to the people of Israel to establish the Lord as their God, but they preferred Baal (god of strength and fertility), who is represented as a bull (Exodus 32: 4).  The majority of the neighboring nations of the world worshipped Baal as well, in one form or another (a world under baalim, the plural form of Baal): a ‘storm god’ who waged war and spread fertility (growth, offspring, and riches).

→  The spiritual ‘man of the Lord’ was resisted by the ‘prince’ of the land of Persia while Daniel prayed for his people under Persia’s rule (Daniel 10).  The powers we set up, and the ways we prefer to define Heaven by, become a barrier and a stumbling-block between us and the Lord, and between us and the blessings the Lord would grant us.

Þ  Judgment, fear of hell, and curses are spread in the name of the Lord; this should not be so.  (Luke 4: 18-19) (John 5: 19-27) (John 3: 17-21)¯
Christ does not condemn, for He does as the Father, YHVH, does and the Father does not condemn either.  We condemn ourselves by rejecting the Lord of Life and therefore being outside of His goodness.

→ We are called to bless and to never curse (Romans 12: 14) (James 3) (Luke 6: 27-37).

Þ  Goodness, life, love, blessing, faithfulness, kindness, joy, peace, hope, salvation, deliverance from suffering… these and all good things are of the Lord.  These are His ways.  These are promised to us if we so choose them.  Those who choose the ways of life inherit life and goodness.  Likewise, those that choose the ways of death are injured and snared by it until they embrace the Deliverer and find Life once again.

→  We claim all souls as the offspring of the Lord that He may reach them, correct them, deliver them, and keep them in His care evermore (Hebrews 12: 5-11).

Be forever ever blessed, everyone, amen.  And may we all receive love, grace, mercy and a place where goodness and life can be found.
